Mr. Lui received his undergraduate degree in civil engineering from University of California at Berkeley and his Master of Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He set up the Stanford Hotels Group based in San Francisco in 1985, and under his direction and guidance, the Group has built its portfolio to 13 full service hotels in major U.S. metropolitan areas through acquisition and new development, all self-managed under major U.S. national brands including Hilton, Marriottt, Sheraton and Hyatt.
Mr. Lui is a Certified Hotel Administrator, a Registered Professional Engineer and a Licensed General Building Contractor in California and Arizona. He was a two-time Member of the Board of the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau and Hospitality Management Advisory Board of the University of San Francisco McLaren School of Business.
